Company History

Peacock Letterpress opened for business in 2003 as a Service Company for Printers. Our founder, Wesley Gilberto, owned several successful  businesses. His time was most devoted to the print industry, sharing the love of his industry for over 30 years and served as the original professional offset technician in his startup company. Our current owner is Terri Gilberto, who took over the ownership in 2010 after the founder became disabled due to a tragic auto accident.

Peacock Letterpress was originally known as The Stewartstown Printing Company, and our main sales office location is at the site of the original building during its Grand Opening. Our company later expanded and has a production facility in Central PA, with an added remote sales office in South Carolina.

Soon after purchasing the business, Terri decided to change its name. Stewartstown Printing had served the company well, but Terri wanted to create a more memorable brand. A lifelong collector of beautiful letterpress stationery, she chose Peacock Letterpress and began marketing the company under that name in 2010.  Now with that same idea of keeping that brand, why not expand again and offer a new division that is now advanced with even more printing capabilities!  Exactly, Terri has created Duke Printing & Graphics that welcomes the entire retail and commercial industry with more services and products than even before, with an added convenience of all under one roof.

Under Terri's leadership, Peacock Letterpress became a fast-growing printing firm in the state of PA and then, by word of mouth, quickly became recognized nationally. Most of our success and notoriety was a direct result of our super-fast turnaround and our "on-time-or-it's-free" guarantee.

At a time when most printing firms took two weeks to print an envelope order, Peacock Letterpress would commonly print envelopes within 24-hours. Our "on-time-or-it's-free" guarantee was one of our most popular services. At one time, we hit 17,000 consecutive deadlines without fail. When we finally missed a deadline, we then proceeded to print another 13,000 jobs before we missed another one.

It seems like every company talks about the importance of customer service, but one of the lasting cornerstones of our business is the way our customers feel about doing business with us. Our dependability and reliability have become very renowned. When you work fast, hardly ever miss a deadline, have fair prices, and treat people with dignity and respect it's hard not to grow your business. That's what we do, and Peacock Letterpress currently has helped many local customers pull out of the pandemic crisis due to its leadership in the print industry.

We invite you to consider using our printing firm the next time your company needs printing. There's a reason why we averaged almost 40 new business customers every month for the last 15 years, and we would love the opportunity to demonstrate that for you on your next printing order. You see, we do things very differently than the other printers in our community and online, and we believe we can provide the best all-around experience for you if you'll give us a try.

If you would like to talk to one of our customer service representatives, please call 717-420-6299. We would be happy to discuss how we can help your business succeed and prosper. Feel free to ask for Terri Gilberto, the owner, when you call, and to inquire about taking a 30 minute tour of our business, hosted by Terri. Terri provides a very fast-paced and interesting behind-the-scenes tour of how things work in our company, and most of the 250 businesses that have toured Peacock Letterpress have commented that it was a lot more fun than they thought it would be!  Her hospitality and knowledge of the letterpress industry has taken brides by surprise when exploring the studio!
